2025 in Review: A Year of Growth, Reach, and New Horizons for Cross Works
As 2025 draws to a close, it’s been a landmark year for Cross Works—defined by expansion, international collaboration, and a continued commitment to shaping the future of cities through both design and technology.
This year marked our move into a new studio in Camden Town, right in the heart of central London, alongside the opening of our second international office in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The latter was made possible with the invaluable support of Astrolabs, whose guidance helped us establish a permanent presence in one of the world’s most dynamic and fast-growing regions.
Our project portfolio also continued to expand geographically, with active work spanning Oman, Libya, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Uzbekistan. At the same time, we pursued new opportunities across Japan, Kuwait, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Iraq, and Mozambique—further strengthening our position as a globally active design practice.
2025 also saw Cross Works recognised on the international stage as a finalist at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Miami, where we presented as one of the top ten masterplanning teams worldwide. Additional highlights included presenting at Cityscape Global in Riyadh and showcasing the New Tashkent masterplan at MIPIM in Cannes, in collaboration with representatives from the Uzbek government.
Throughout the year, we contributed to industry dialogue through presentations at the ULI Europe Conference in London and participation in a Commonwealth Trade Mission to Central Asia with the British Embassy in Uzbekistan. Our team also joined SHARE Architects and PGS Murray on a regional visit to the Balkans. Alongside these engagements, our work was featured in several major publications including The Times, Euronews, and Dezeen.
Beyond our work in buildings, masterplans, and new cities, 2025 marked the launch of two new applications on the App Store—an important step forward in Cross Works’ growing focus on digital innovation and technology-led urban solutions. Further developments in this space are expected in the coming year.
As we approach our sixth year as a practice, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all past and present team members whose contributions continue to shape Cross Works.
Looking ahead to 2026, we anticipate further growth of our Riyadh office and an expanding project footprint across the Middle East, Europe, and the United Kingdom. We also aim to continue strengthening our technology team, support the growth of our newly launched applications, and advance a number of research and development initiatives currently underway.
For now, we wish all of our partners, collaborators, and peers a restful festive period and a very Happy New Year. More updates to follow in early 2026.
