What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site so that we can improve it. Analytics only runs if you accept the cookie banner — by default it is disabled (Google Consent Mode v2, all signals denied).

If you accept, Google Analytics may collect and store:

  • A randomly generated client ID stored in a first-party _ga cookie (24-month lifetime)
  • Pages viewed, referrer, session start/end, and time on page
  • Approximate location (country/city), derived from your IP address — your full IP is not stored
  • Device and browser type, screen size, language
  • Outbound link clicks and basic interaction events

We do not collect names, email addresses, or any account information through this website unless you explicitly send them to us by email or contact form. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing, or cross-site tracking.

Legal basis

We rely on your consent (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR Regulation 6) to set analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site — the banner will reappear on your next visit and you can choose again.

Data sharing & transfers

Analytics data is processed by Google LLC on our behalf. Google may transfer this data outside the UK/EEA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and applicable Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
